Game Viewing
An amazing Location!
The Kruger National Park is one of the world's 20 largest game reserves. With an area close on 22000km² or 2 million ha it is about 400km from North to South and approximately 65km wide from East to West. It supports the greatest diversity of wild animal species of any wildlife sanctuary in Africa. In summary the Kruger National Park boasts 148 species of mammals, 505 species of birds, 119 species of reptiles, 52 species of fish, 35 species of amphibians and 1980 species of plants.

The southern boundary of the Kruger National Park is formed by the Crocodile River which is one of six major rivers that play a critical role in sustaining the unique natural environments of the Kruger National Park. The south eastern corner of the Kruger National Park, referred to as the Crocodile Bridge section, is one of the richest game viewing areas of the Park and it in this area, on the southern bank of the Crocodile River, that the luxurious Ngwenya River Lodges are located.

While relaxing in these spacious, comfortable and well appointed double storey bush homes each with five en suite bedrooms, guests can experience the finest uninterrupted views of the river and the adjoining Kruger National Park floodplain. Ngwenya River Lodges represent the pinnacle of luxury and exclusivity at Ngwenya which is four star graded by the Tourism Grading Council of South Africa.

The location of Ngwenya River Lodges and the views from them are indeed amazing and you will be hard pressed to find a finer setting in which to put your feet up and unwind as you watch a wide variety of wild animals, including the Big Five come to the river to drink. At Ngwenya River Lodges the Crocodile River serves as your personal game viewing waterhole which means that there is no real need to spend days on end driving around looking for the same animals that come to the river and you.
