About

Mjejane Game Reserve

Welcome to Mjejane Game Reserve.
Winchester Marketing is proud to be associated with real estate sales (freehold title stands, exclusive shared ownerships in river lodges and timeshare) in Mjejane Game Reserve.

What makes this specific game reserve so desirable from an investment point of view is that it is the only private game reserve of its kind adjoining the southern boundary of the world famous Kruger National Park. Furthermore at 4000ha it represents the last significant tract of pristine indigenous bush alongside the Crocodile River it this highly sought after game rich area.

The property shares over 10 magnificent kilometres of fabulous Crocodile River frontage with the Kruger. Of historical social significance and considerable comfort to investors, Mjejane Game Reserve is a fully settled land claim.

Kruger National Park

Wildlife Sanctuaries

During 2008 the fence separating Mjejane Game Reserve from the Kruger National Park was removed to allow wildlife to move freely between the wildlife sanctuaries on either side of the river. Almost immediately herds of elephant and buffalo moved onto Mjejane along with predators such as lion, leopard, cheetah, hyena and wild dog. Species such as giraffe and zebra were re-introduced to the southern bank by South African National Parks and the conservation management of Mjejane was placed under the authority of SANParks. In essence Mjejane Game Reserve is an eco-extension of the Kruger National Park and it boasts the same diversity of game encountered in the much acclaimed Biyamiti region of the Kruger.

Crocodile River & Kruger National Park

In 2012 the construction of a new low level bridge across the Crocodile River was completed. This bridge links Mjejane Game Reserve directly into the road network of the Kruger National Park. In fact it is the only private bridge of its kind in the history of the Kruger and specifically provides Mjejane owners with exclusive conditional access directly into the Kruger.

In view of the aforesaid, Kruger Park enthusiasts have been quick to realise that owning a bush lodge home in Mjejane is like owning one in the Kruger Park itself. Real estate sales have been strong, even through the recession, and numerous multimillion rand wholly owned and fractional bush lodge residences have been constructed in the reserve. An exclusive upmarket timeshare development called Mjejane Bush Camp provides investors with an opportunity to acquire the ownership of weeks in the seasons of their choice.
