The challenging fairways of Gowrie Farm golf course wrap around trout-filled dams, farm fields and bird-rich wetlands. The layout of the greens was moulded by the terrain where wild bunkers appear to have been formed by a natural weathering process. The fairways are kikuyu grass, the greens are bent grass and the rough is comprised predominantly of local indigenous grass species such as Rooigras (Themeda trianda).

Plans are underway to expand the existing 9 hole golf course into a full 18 hole course along with the release of a further 24 residential stands.
